Invitation

Since 1991 the Field and Laboratory Emission Cell (FLEC) is used worldwide for emission testing of building products. The FLEC was the archetype of the European Standard ENV 13419-2, which has been published in 1999. The first FLEC meeting was held 1999 in Copenhagen. Two years later, the FLEC 10 years' anniversary was celebrated on occasion of the 2nd International FLEC Symposium again in Copenhagen.

However, emission testing requires both, the testing unit and suitable analytical equipment for sampling and analysis. State-of-the art for measuring VOC and SVOC in ambient air is sampling on adsorbents like Tenax® in combination with thermal desorption and GC/MS analysis.

It is our pleasure to invite you to Braunschweig to participate in the 3rd FLEC Symposium, which is now held as conference on FLEC and related analytics. The meeting is organized by WKI and supported by ISIAQ and "Verein für Technische Holzfragen e.V." (VTH). You will meet international colleagues from universities, research institutions, industry and administrative bodies to discuss all relevant topics in the world of FLEC and analytical chemistry in an open and informal atmosphere.
