Foreword
 

The 7th Indoor Air Quality 2006 Meeting will take place in Braunschweig, Germany, from 15-17 November 2006.

The conference is to set the state-of-the-art in the field of pollutants in museums and archives, especially research on pollutants, their sources and their effects both on collections and on human health. Other topics are interacting forms of indoor air pollution, deterioration mechanisms, the development of assessment methods, control strategies as well as national and international regulations. The format of the conference includes plenary sessions, short oral presentations and posters. The official language of the conference is English.

On 17 November 2006 the first workshop of COST Action D42 "Chemical Interactions between Cultural Artefacts and Indoor Environment (Enviart)" will take place. General information about the Action D42 will be given and the members of the Management Committee (MC) will present themselves and their professional fields.



Location


 

The venue will be the Fraunhofer Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institute (WKI), Braunschweig/Germany. The institute is about 60 minutes from Hanover Airport and about 15 minutes from the central station and the city centre. Braunschweig is connected to the German bullet train system.

The fees for participating in the conference are:

IAQ: Authors, students € 150,-
IAQ: Other participants € 200,-
COST Action D42, 1st Workshop free

The conference fee includes conference material (booklet with abstracts, list of participants), lunch, beverages, guided tour (November 15, Dankwarderode Castle and Cathedral).
